Six-Guns App Review

Six-Guns is a gaming app developed and published by Gameloft. It is free and is available for both iOS and Android devices. It is usually praised by the mobile gaming community but I beg to differ. I tried the app and then quickly uninstalled it after a few levels.

Just the name ‘Gameloft’ makes me wanna check out an app so when I saw Six-Guns was published by Gameloft, I quickly downloaded it and then tried and see if it’s a tapworthy app. Meh. The first few things that I noticed are the UI  and the game’s graphics. I didn’t like the UI and the overall layout. It looks cheap (well it’s free, but still..)  and it fells like I’m playing a Facebook app. It sure could use some work in that aspect. And then the graphics. The graphics made me feel like I’m transported back 10 years ago. I don’t know about the others, but I think the graphics is horrible considering their previous works (e.g. Brothers in Arms). The graphics is bad to the point that it made me dizzy after just a few minutes (maybe I can also attribute this to the constant camera movement). Don’t believe me? Check out the gallery below and see for yourself.

Even though I already have a negative impression on this app, I stilled tried to play it. Playing a couple more minutes and a couple more levels, I ran through an “invisible wall” and got stuck for a few minutes. This event pretty much nailed it. These “bad experiences” made me feel that this game was prematurely released.

Well, it’s free and others seem to enjoy playing it. Who knows, these type of games might be your thing. But personally, I won’t recommend downloading this game. I really think this app was rushed and you should’t bother with it.
